At the Iran’s Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences conducted a research. In the research were included 44 obese woman divided into two groups. In a period of three months both of the groups were eating healthy food recommended by nutritionist and reduced their calorie intake to 500. But one of the groups consumed 3 grams of powdered cumin in a 140 grams of yogurt while the other one was on the same amount of calories but without cumin.
Three months after, the group that was using cumin had lost three pounds more than the group that did not use cumin.
