Human intestinal parasites are a very common issue for many people. They can enter our bodies with food and water, through intimate contact, in the nose or mouth after touching a contaminated area or with mosquito bites. A healthy body has no problem preventing this parasites to enter, however if the immune system is weak they find their way in and create health complications.
The symptoms of intestinal parasites often resemble other symptoms thus it is more difficult to diagnose with certainty. However, if you experience more of the symptoms explained below there is a big chance you have intestinal parasites.
Common symptoms
- Bloating and gas
Tapeworms and other parasites usually cause blockage in the digestive tract which results in bloating and excessive gas.
- Frequent diarrhea
Parasite infestations and protozoan infection create a compound that leeches chloride and sodium from the body which results with frequent diarrhea.
- Constipation
Since parasites create blockage in the digestive tract the food and waste cannot pass through it normally which causes constipation. Chronic constipation can cause even more serious health problems if left untreated.
- Irritable bowel syndrome
The symptoms of IBS such as poor nutrient absorption, contractions and gastrointestinal spasms are all caused by the inflammation and irritation that tapeworms create when they bound to the intestinal walls.
- Fatigue
Intestinal worm infection leads to poor nutrient absorption which stresses the body and reduces the energy levels thus causing fatigue. This symptom is extremely difficult to diagnose so if it is caused by parasitic infection it may go undiscovered for a long time.
- Allergies
Due to the inflammation and irritation in the gastrointestinal tract that tapeworms cause, your body may become more prone to allergic reactions. However, taking drugs is not the answer; instead you should improve your intestinal environment.
- Weak immune system
Poor nutrition which is a result of the parasites stealing your energy and nutrients may lead to a weak immune system. Parasites also stimulate a constant immune response which may exhaust your immune system.
How to treat intestinal parasites
Even though they are difficult to diagnose if you are experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, digestive issues, poor immunity and low-energy it could mean that your body is trying to tell you there is a problem and you should seek medical attention.
Two traditional and completely natural remedies for this issue are papaya and pumpkin seeds. We are going to focus more on pumpkin seeds and how to use them in order to remove tapeworms from your intestines.
Removing intestinal worms with pumpkin seeds
Pumpkin seeds have been used to remove intestinal parasites for a long time. For best results and to get as many worms out as possible it is advised to continue the treatment with bentonite clay or diatomaceous earths.
What you need:
- 1 cup of raw pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of fresh coconut milk
- pinch of seasalt of Himalayan salt
- diatomaceous earth or bentonite clay
- castor oil
Procedure:
Start with mixing the pumpkin seeds and coconut milk in a blender and then add water in small amounts so that you create a creamy paste. Take out the mixture by using a silicon spatula. You can add salt in the mixture to improve the taste and then eat it on an empty stomach. Within an hour you should drink a glass of water with 1 teaspoon of diatomaceous earth or bentonite clay. Over the next hours drink a few glasses of water.
During this cleanse, it is advised to take 1 tablespoon of castor oil at least 2 hours after consuming the pumpkin seed mixture.
To protect the intestinal flora from parasite infestation taking quality probiotics during this cleanse are recommended.
Treatment time
For some people one treatment is enough however sometimes it takes a few tries to get the results we want.
If you need to repeat it more than once, you should take it for 2-3 days and then make a 1-week break. Repeat again the following week. This treatment should be followed for up to a month.
