We are constantly hearing and reading information about the negative effect of processed and junk foods on our health. But still, many people choose to eat these foods since they are tasty and quite addictive without knowing the dangers they could cause. Eating a hamburger from time to time is fine as long as your diet consists mostly of natural foods that are rich in nutrients. Fast food contains a combination of sodium, hidden sugars and fat which are the main causes for obesity, type 2 Diabetes and hypertension.
Grant Imahara, the famous Mythbuster went to the McDonalds fry factory to observe the production process. While he was there he noticed that 15 ingredients are used in the frying processes which are contributing to the development of autoimmune disorders and many other diseases..

- Sodium acid pyrophosphate
- Dimethylpolysiloxane
- Natural beef flavor
- Hydrolyzed milk
- Hydrogenated soybean oil
- Soybean oil
- Canola oil
- Hydrogenated oil
- Dextrose
- Citric acid
- Potatoes
- Salt
You may be familiar with of all of them, so we are going to explain the three most dangerous ingredients on this list: TBHQ, dimethylpolysiloxane and hydrogenated soybean oil.
Dimethylpolysilioxane
It is used in the process of making hair products as well as silly putty and aquarium tank sealants. This ingredients contains large amounts of formaldehyde which causes allergies, autoimmune diseases, brain damage and even cancer.
Hydrogenated soybean oil
This oil is a member of the unhealthy trans fats which are particularly harmful for human health. Studies have shown that 100 000 deaths can be prevented by eliminating this ingredient from the diet.
TBHQ – tertiary butylhydroquionone
This ingredient is usually added in foods to keep it “fresh” longer. But this compound you eat is also used to produce perfumes and bio diesel.
