Water is essential for the proper body function and the overall health. Staying well hydrated is important for every single cell in your body. Drinking enough water every day boosts the metabolic rate and prevents overeating which means it will promote weight loss. You probably do not know the right amount of water you should drink every day. This is why we are going to explain to you how you can calculate the perfect amount of water for you to stay healthy and also lose weight.
Calculate how much water you should drink daily
Step 1: Your weight
Your weight determines the amount of water you should drink. For example a man who weighs 200 pounds and a woman who weighs 100 pounds should drink different amounts.
Step 2: Multiply by 2/3
Next, multiply your weight by 67% or 2/3. This way you will calculate the right amount of water you should be drinking every day. Example: If you weigh 175 pounds, multiplied by 2/3 gives us the result of 117, which means you should drink 117 ounces of water.
Step 3: Activity level
Another important thing you should have in mind is the amount of exercise you perform every day. So, for every 30 minutes that you work out you should add another 12 ounces of water. And for 45 minutes of workout every day you should add 18 ounces of water.
