As we age the production of the skin’s natural oil decreases which causes the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles or saggy skin. The skin needs replacement for the natural oils in order to remain hydrated thus slow down the aging process. There are numerous natural oils that have the ability to prevent aging as well as hydrate the skin and make it smooth and healthy.
This oil is extracted from a unique tree which is endemic to Morocco. Argan oil is rich in vitamins A and E which are very important for the health of the skin and they reduce fine lines, spots or wrinkles. Before you go to bed clean your face and apply a few drops of argan oil. Gently massage the oil using circular motions. You can also include 1 tablespoon of culinary argan oil in your diet for even better effects.
Olive oil contains vitamins A and E as well as many other minerals and fatty acids that protect the skin from free-radicals thus prevent aging. Take some lukewarm olive oil and massage it on your body 5-10 minutes a day before taking a bath or shower. This method will also improve your blood flow. You can also include 1-2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil in your diet.
Wrinkles and age spots can be prevented by using coconut oil which can also be used as a natural sunscreen that will protect against the harmful sun rays. Moisturize your skin by massaging it with coconut oil after a shower or a bath. To keep your body healthy and to prevent age-related diseases add 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin coconut oil to your diet.
This oil is also great for treating wrinkles and slowing down the aging process due to the high amounts of vitamins E and K. Delay the aging process by massaging your skin with almond oil once a day after taking a bath or a shower. You can also get rid or under eye wrinkles or dark circles by applying a few drops of warm almond oil on the affected area before going to bed.
Jojoba oil is probably the most hydrating natural oil in the world. It contains vitamin E and C and also has excellent anti-aging properties. Massage your body with jojoba oil at least once a day for the best results.
Lavender smells great and is also excellent for the health of the skin because of the antiseptic and antifungal properties. Lavender oil is excellent for treating various skin issues including psoriasis and acne. This oil can also improve your sleep quality. Mix 5-6 drops of lavender essential oil with 1 tablespoon of aloe Vera gel. Apply the mixture on your skin and gently massage. Rinse the oil with cool water after 10 minutes. For best results repeat this daily.
People with dry skin should definitely try avocado oil because it is excellent for hydrating the skin as well as prevent aging and damage. Avocado oil can also reverse age-related skin damage and keep the skin cells and tissues healthy because it is rich in vitamins A and E.
Pomegranate seed oil
This oils has strong antioxidant properties which repair the damage caused by free-radicals and sun rays. Pomegranate seed oil also supports the health of the skin due to the health, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. You can use it on your face and your entire body.
Wheat germ oil
Your skin can stay young and flawless for years if you use Wheat germ oil. This oil also has powerful anti-oxidant properties that prevent radical damage to the skin and is also rich in vitamins A and E which are essential for the skin health.
Take a few drops of wheat germ oil and mix them with 1 tablespoon of aloe Vera gel. Apply the mixture on your skin and gently massage for 5 minutes. Wait 10 minutes and then rinse it off. You should repeat this method once a day.
Another way of using this oil is by mixing it with equal amounts of honey and then applying it on your face as a mask. Keep the mask on for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off. You should also repeat this once a day.
Neem oil has many beneficial health properties such as antiviral, antifungal, anti-aging, antibacterial, antimicrobial as well as health-promoting qualities.
This oil helps restore the elasticity of the skin and also promotes skin cell regeneration and rejuvenation. It is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E which are excellent for reducing wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. Mix 1 tablespoon of neem oil with 1/3 cup of olive or coconut oil. Apply the mixture on your skin and gently massage for 5 minutes. Leave it on for another 10 minutes until the skin absorbs it. There is no need to rinse it off. You should do this before going to bed.
