You can get more of it by consuming whole foods for example chicken pistachios, lean beef, tuna, dried fruit, sunflower seeds, turkey, bananas and potatoes with skin.
Potassium deficiency
This mineral is very important for proper body cell, organ and tissue function. Potassium deficiency causes numerous symptoms such as weight gain, cramps, and water retention and muscle spasms. Increase your intake by consuming watermelon, honey melon and rock melon.
Excessive sodium intake
Water retention can also be caused due to large consumption of salt. To reverse the damage, switch to Himalayan or Celtic sea salt.
Magnesium deficiency
Another cause of water retention is magnesium deficiency. Numerous body functions rely on this mineral. To increase your magnesium intake consume foods such as dark chocolate, dark green vegetables, nuts, dried fruits, whole grains, peas, avocados, yogurt, spinach or take magnesium supplement.
Dehydration
