Vitamin deficiency is a serious condition that could cause health complications and can sometimes even be fatal. If the body is deprived of a certain nutrient the cell’s structures become damaged thus the bodily functions are impaired.

These are the most common signs that appear on the face as a result of vitamin or mineral deficiency.
- Bleeding gums
Vitamin C deficiency usually causes nose bleeds, swollen joints and bleeding gums. The human body can’t produce or store this vitamin so it is important that you get enough of it through your diet.

- Pale lips

- Puffy eyes
Even though this is often a sign of sleep deprivation, puffy eyes can also indicate low iodine levels. The table salt is not easily used by the body so avoid consuming too much of it is dangerous for your health.
