Basil oil has the ability to strengthen the immune system because of the powerful antibacterial and antiseptic properties which also make it excellent treatment for bacterial infections.

This herb has a unique flavor which is why it is used in numerous cuisines all around the world. However, make sure you add it at the end of cooking to preserve the flavor.
It is always a better idea to use fresh basil. This herb can be used to prepare Pesto Genovese sauce; it can spice up your pasta or you can prepare a delicious icy desert. Chop the Basil leaves and mix them with sugar cane juice, lemon juice and water. Then transfer the mixture in an ice cube tray and freeze. Once the cubes are frozen blend them and serve.
You can also prepare a colorful Italian salad with tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh basil leaves. Or make a nice cup of basil tea by putting chopped fresh basil leaves in hot water for 8 minutes.
